Lauren is the '˜Best Baker' at BHS Bake Off
Year 10 pupils had the opportunity to apply to be the first ever ‘Best Baker’ at the school.
The competition had two rounds, the first of which was the Technical Challenge. The pupils were given a recipe and were asked to come to the Home Economics ‘tent’ and cook a batch of cookies.

Josh Dennison was awarded Star Baker of the Technical Round and he and four others went through to Round Two, the Signature Bake.
The Signature Bake was again based on the same recipe, but with the competitors choosing their own ‘signature’ to the bake. The competition for the Bake Off ‘Best Baker’ was exceptionally close.
After several tastings of each cookie batch, judge ‘Mary Berry’ finally awarded the coveted award to Lauren Lutton.
