Jo-Anne Dobson pays tribute to colleague Doug Beattie as he lays his baby grandson to rest
Speaking after being elected to the Upper Bann constituency of the NI Assembly, Mrs Dobson said she was delighted at being elected but it was a sad day for her party colleague who is also standing for Stormont.
Mr Beattie’s 15-month-old grandson Cameron Tindale died suddenly during the week and his funeral is taking place today.

Hide AdMrs Dobson was re-elected to Stormont after the eighth count at Banbridge, following the elimination of a number of unionist candidates from smaller parties.

Yesterday DUP candidates Carla Lockhart and Sydney Anderson were elected as MLAs for Upper Bann.
