She hadn’t been in the best of health for some time but was able to be out and about even though in a wheelchair, and was an Honourary Member of the Royal British Legion Gilford Branch, which gave her great pleasure.
Although in failing health she was greatly appreciative of the care workers who went in and out to her, and the family would like this to be known.
The family would also like to say thank you to the Rev Denise Caddoo for all her pastoral care. Evelyn is survived by three daughters Margaret, Delia and Valerie, three sons John, Christopher and William, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister Hazel and one brother John.
