Highest number of road crashes in Lisburn
Lisburn saw the highest number of road crashes in Northern Ireland over the last two years, new statistics have revealed.
A study published by the investigative website The Detail revealed that there were 100 collisions and 99 people seriously injured on the roads in Lisburn during 2013/14.
The Lisburn crash rate was five times higher than the area with the lowest number of reported collisions, Cookstown, where there were 20 collisions.

Hide AdIn a detailed breakdown of the statistics, the website found out that of the 136 people who were killed on the roads over the two-year period, 106 were male and 30 were female.
The statistics were obtained from the PSNI using Freedom of Information Act.
