Paula Reynolds, Chief Executive, Clifton House Belfast gave an informative and entertaining talk at the society’s meeting.
She spoke about Clifton House / Belfast’s Poor House and the life of Mary Ann McCracken (1770-1866) who in many respects was a woman ahead of her time, interested in issues such as poverty and slavery.
