Grabbed woman by the throat
A BALLYMENA man who grabbed a woman by the throat after a party has been bound over to keep the peace for 12 months, on his own bail of £250.
David Alan Pollock (40), of Princes Street, admitted an assault charge when he appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
The court was told that Pollock had been attending a party in the Rosses area on July 13 when he fell asleep on the sofa.
It was said that he got up off the sofa and grabbed an 18-year-old woman by the throat.
DIstrict Judge Des Perry warned Pollock: “Avoid situations that could result in this type of thing happening.”
