Failed to turn up for community service
Brendan McGivern, Scarva Walk, Banbridge, was convicted of dangerous driving and driving while unfit on September 3 last year.
But the probation service applied at last week’s court to have the order revoked because McGovern had failed to attend. The court heard he had not completed any hours of the 240 imposed.

Hide AdA barrister said there were ongoing family matters and the one time he turned up for work he was in no state to contribute.
He added that the custody threshold had been passed and asked the court to leave something hanging over the defendant’s head.
McGivern was sentenced to four months in custody, suspended for 18 months, and banned from driving for three years.
