An investment scheme will help enhance the lough’s accessibility and visitor offering.
In the borough of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, the scheme will see the construction of a brand new Lough Neagh Rescue Centre at Kinnego Marina, situated on the edge of Oxford Island National Nature Reserve.

In addition, the project will see the development of four new deluxe glamping pods as well as new fencing, road resurfacing, utility block refit and an upgrade to the rescue centre’s ‘Gary Breen’ vessel at Kinnego Marina.
Chair of SOAR ABC, Cr Kyle Savage said: “This cooperation project has been a long time in the making, with a lot of work from the three local action groups, cooperation sub committees, boards and staff, and I am very grateful to all that have made this possible.”
The projects are due for completion in 2021.
