Dunmurry man admits four charges
Padriag Griffin, 31, from Aspen Walk, appeared at Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday (February 16).
He was charged with taking a motor vehicle without authority, having no insurance and no driving licence.

Hide AdGriffin was also charged with possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis.
The court heard that on January 19, the defendant had driven a Skoda Yeti on Summerhill Drive in Dunmurry without the consent of the vehicle’s owner.
Investigations by the police also established that the defendant had no insurance for the vehicle in question and did not possess a valid driving licence.
Furthermore, during their investigations on the same date, the police discovered the defendant to be in possession of an amount of cannabis.

Hide AdGriffin pleaded guilty to the four charges before the court.
District Judge Rosie Watters adjourned the case for four weeks to allow pre-sentence reports to be compiled by the Probation Service.
The defendant will reappear before Lisburn Magistrates Court on Monday, March 16 for sentencing.
