Drink cartons accepted
Developed with support from the Alliance for Beverage Cartons & the Environment (ACE) UK, the new service began on March 1.
It gives Lisburn City Council residents the opportunity to recycle more items of their household rubbish. The existing beverage carton recycling banks located across the City area will be gradually removed from the beginning of March.

“However as we strive to meet increasingly stringent European and Northern Ireland targets for landfill reduction every new recycling initiative is to be welcomed. This new service will help us to increase the amount of household waste recycled from the Lisburn area, reduce disposal costs and harmful greenhouse gas emissions and enables us to provide a more convenient facility and better value for local residents.”
