Drank cans before fishing
Adam Charles Marno (22) from Bannfield Road, was banned for a year and fined £300 at last week’s local court.
He came to police attention on 13 September at Crabtree Road when officers responded to a report of a single vehicle crash.

Hide AdThey spoke to Marno who said he had struck a domestic garden fence.
He failed a preliminary test and was arrested and later charged when further samples revealed he was over the legal limit.
Solicitor Mr Kearney said his client had been driving for four years with a clear record.
He said Marno was unemployed due to an accident but was actively looking for work.

Hide AdHe explained how on the day in question, Marno and a friend had spent the afternoon at Annahinchago fishing.
They had brought some cans and drank them before “foolishly deciding” at 6pm to drive the mile and a half home.
“He clipped a fence post causing the accident, but is paying for the damage he caused.”
Marno was also fined £300 with a £15 offender’s levy. He was told by Judge Copeland that he would be required to sit a full driving test again.
