Donation Awareness Day gets support
Andrew Duncan, from Canterbury Park, was well known in his fight for organ donation.
He was also an advocate for the charity Chest, Heart and Stroke and campaigned tirelessly for in the promotion of the organ donation opt out scheme.

Hide AdSadley Andrew lost his fight and passed away during November, but his legacy lives on through the family, who have taken up the campaign in his memory.
“Andrew’s wife, Suzanne, has taken up the baton and continues the struggle towards greater awareness and encourage people to became registered,” said DUP MLA Maurice Devenney, adding: “Organ donation saves lives and this message needs to reach people. Everyone must have discussions with their families so they are aware of a decision to donate organs so in the event of untimely death a family can act accordingly”.
