Cushendall host ‘Innovative Village’ three day study visit
This is part of a programme organised by the North-East Region Rural Development Programme.
The project is called “Innovative Village” and involves partner organisations from Estonia, two from Finland, a Finnish University and the North-East Region. There are also a whole range of local community activists involved in the seminars and study visits. It is a tremendous opportunity to explore how innovative ideas can help our local rural communities.

The visit schedule is very full with lots of work ahead for the local and international participants. They will be visiting projects throughout the North-East area and will have a busy time.
Of course they will also be able to get a chance to visit some of the area’s iconic attractions, especially the Giants Causeway and Bushmills Distillery. There may also be time to have a flavour of local restaurants, pubs and bit of traditional music.
This visit is only the first part of a more extensive project and local groups will also visit Finland and Estonia as part of this initiative
