MLA condemns ‘brutal attack’ on man in New Mossley

The man in his 50s was shot in the right knee in the New Mossley area on Wednesday around 7.00pm.
Mr Blair said: “I am shocked to hear of this brutal attack and my thoughts are with the victim.

The Alliance representative went on to appeal to anyone with information about the shooting to contact police immediately.
Speaking after the incident, PSNI Inspector Julian Buchanan said: “The male, aged in his fifties has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, which, at this time do not appear to be life threatening, but have the potential to be life changing.
“Our enquiries are at an early stage, and I appeal to anyone with information to call detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1690 of 18/11/20.”
