‘Come On In’ now on the big screen!

In January, St Patrick’s College in Maghera produced a first for Northern Ireland with the launch
of ‘Come On In’. The school was the first to create a professionally mixed pop/dance track that’s
available to download from iTunes as part of a fundraiser for the school’s 50th Anniversary
celebrations, which take place this year.

Hide AdThe track was written entirely by nine pupils from the school, who also perform on the track
providing the vocals and rapping. It was produced by internationally-acclaimed DJ and Music
Producer, Micky Modelle and ‘Come On In’ has already been played by a host of Northern Ireland
radio stations.
‘Come On In’ was created to showcase, through music, why St Patrick’s College is so special and the
accompanying video captures this visually.

has been phenomenal and there’s huge support for the song from the entire school as well as the
wider community.
“It was important to us that the accompanying video reflected the dance/pop genre of the track
and that similarly to the song, it showcased what’s unique and special about our school. We

Hide Adinvolved hundreds of pupils in the making of the video and shot it in a contemporary way.
“Our Director of Learning for the Arts, Mrs Aoibhinn O’Kane, worked with the SPC Crew to
choreograph an accompanying dance to ‘Come On In’ and the video features our footballers,
camogie players and even the teachers joining in on the dance!”

Hide AdCome On In is now available on iTunes and other major music downloading sites, with money raised
from the downloads going towards funding St. Patrick’s music department. The video to Come On In
can be viewed on You Tube – simply search for ‘The SPC Crew’.
