Deborah, who has just returned from a trip to Mali to a remote area on the edge of the Sahara desert, near Timbuctoo.
She told the ladies some interesting facts like there are currently 1.6bn people in the world today who still do not have direct access to electricity.

Hide AdShe said that thanks to the support of Finlay Communications, a company based in Holywood, eight villages in southern Mali will be growing their own bio-fuels and within three years have generated enough electricity for 20,000 people.
The company will also be funding Christian Aid partner Mali Folkcenter for the next three years on this green energy project.
