Chamber pairraise DVA jobs threat with PM
Chamber President Ian Donaghey MBE and Neville Moore, Director of Causeway Chamber attended a private reception with the Prime Minister organised by NI Conservatives.
The gathering followed the Economic Investment Conference held at Titantic on October 11.

Hide AdThe Chamber representatives had the opportunity to speak to the Prime Minister on the proposed relocation of DVA services to Swansea in Wales and the implications this would have on Coleraine.
They also highlighted the imbalance in commercial rates and how many businesses hoped that the current rates revaluation would rebalance town centre business rates with out of town shopping.
The importance of corporation tax being introduced in Northern Ireland was also debated during the brief meeting.
Causeway Chamber believes that the economy would benefit from a lower corporation tax rate and would encourage foreign direct investment in Northern Ireland.

Hide AdChamber representatives also had the opportunity to raise Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) which are currently topical and the Portas Pilot Town Teams which are set to be piloted in Northern Ireland following successful schemes across mainland UK.
