Celebrating future on 125th anniversary
A “Celebrating The Future” project, alongside the annual LIPS Children’s Festival, has provided local children and young people with the opportunity to take part in a range of arts workshops from DJ skills to puppet making.
The project was funded by Big Lottery Culture For All and Larne Borough Council’s Community Festival’s Fund.

“Just as the successful London Olympics recognised the importance of arts and culture through the Cultural Olympiad, we have given children and young people the opportunity to take part in arts and culture as part of our 125 years celebrations.
“Just as football teaches children and young people discipline and commitment, arts and culture does also.
“It was great to see the confidence of the children and young people grow throughout the workshops and also that so many took part in the programme.
