Caution urged over flooding on Cookstown road
The PSNI have advised motorists in the Cookstown area travelling along the Lough Fea Road to exercise extra caution due to flooding currently in the area.
Mid-Ulster has been hit hard with heavy rain since earlier this morning (Wednesday 8th October).
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain. They advise showers will become more persistent during the afternoon and early evening.
The public should be aware of the risk of localised surface water flooding from these showers.
Police instruct they have informed DOE about the flood.
