After he was caught using his mobile phone while driving it was discovered that the driving licence of a 51-year-old man had expired.
Nigel Madill, Woodside Green, Portadown, was fined £75 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for using a mobile phone while driving on March 13 this year. He was also given three points. For not having a driving licence he was fined £50.
A defence solicitor said his client had pulled in to take a call and was moving off as it finished.
