Carrickfergus Borough Council to reduce number of committee metings
Carrickfergus Borough Council is to reduce the number of meetings it holds during a month.
Councillors agreed to a recommendation by the Mayor, Alderman Charles Johnston, the local government authority should hold its full meeting on the first Monday of the month and all five committee sessions on the third Monday, from November.
The first citizen indicated the move was in response to the level of business with the two committees the previous week lasting a total of 10 minutes.
