Ballyclare minister congratulates new Moderator
The 19 Presbyteries voted on Tuesday night to select a new leader of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
Rev Bell, minister of Ballyclare Presbyterian Church, was one of three candidates vying for the top job, but missed out after 18 of the Presbyteries opted for Rev Sellar.

Hide AdCommenting on the result of Tuesday night’s vote, Rev Bell said: “I am delighted with Frank’s appointment. He and I are really good friends and I am very pleased for him. He has my very best wishes as he goes forward into a challenging year.”
Rev Bell, who was also a candidate in last year’s election, said he was thankful for being considered for the position.
