Angela’s charity plunge makes world-wide waves

The 54-year-old swimming instructor from Ballymena has been taking the icy plunge on January 1 in aid of Spina Bifida for 25 years.

Hide AdSpeaking about this year’s event she said: “I love it and it is the highlight of my year.
“I do this for the charity because I don’t think enough is done for Spina Bifida. The water was very cold but you don’t mind doing it.
“If I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t do it. Everyone should try it at least once.”
