1916 and Casement talks
This series, entitled “Call to Arms”, explores the many calls to arms which echoed throughout the early years of the 20th century. This evening’s talk looks at the Easter Rising which took place in 1916 in Dublin.
Admission is £2 and includes refreshments. The series concludes on 6 April when Mr Blair will be focussing on Gallipoli and the Somme.

Hide AdAnd, there’s another talk on offer for those interested in local history - “From Barracks to Ballymoney” by Maureen Waugh.
The venue will be Rasharkin Community Centre on Tuesday 15 March at 8pm.
Maureen will be revealing the story of how Roger Casement helped three unfortunate Irishmen who were interned by Germany in 1914.
One of the three men, J.P. Bradshaw, was the son of a railwayman from Ballymoney.
