New season of lectures from Glens of Antrim Historical Society
Mr Blair will talk about the name ‘Dalriada’ which is a familiar one is North Antrim today. A school, many streets and a hospital carry the designation and, in its shortened form Riada, it occurs in Ballymoney Council Headquarters and a number of commercial premises and organizations.
However, few know much about its origins and this talk will take patrons back to the romantic age in which the ancient kingdom played an important part. It is a story of kings and princes, saints and sinners, when warriors strode the land and heroic deeds were done.

Fact and fiction are hard to separate in a story like this but Mr Blair will do his best in what promises to be a fascinating and highly entertaining talk. Everyone is welcome to attend this talk, admission for non members £3.00, for further information contact: Bernadette Delargy :ph 028 2177 1180.
