Hero Complex at W5 this Mid Term
ImagineNation, in partnership with DCAL and Aer Lingus, will be a one-of-a-kind event celebrating the digital creativity here in Northern Ireland and will run alongside an epic film/television inspired convention entitled – “Heroes and Legends”. Following on from the huge success of W5’s Invasion Belfast Star Wars events, Emerald Garrison’s Heroes & Legends will be an amazing family event which will include appearances by iconic costumed characters, lecture theatre talks, draw-along sessions, fan built sets, props and actors from some of the biggest movies and television series including ET, Ghostbusters, Dr Who, Batman, Babylon5, Lord of the Rings and Transformers. This event will provide visitors of all ages some amazing photo opportunities and interactive experiences.
Over 30 iconic costumed characters, sets and props have been created by the renowned Emerald Garrison costuming club. These stunning recreations have been lovingly replicated by super-fans and will include a Tardis, a Dalek, The Orks Workshop and an amazing 7m tall reproduction of Transformer Optimus Prime, along with recreated replica sets, props and a wide range of iconic costumed characters.

Hide AdThe event will also offer the opportunity for fan-boys and fan-girls to get a special something signed* by special guests from the world of fantasy film and television including:
Michael Biehn - Aliens, Terminator, The Abyss;
Jennifer Blanc – Party of Five, The Victim, Dark Angel;
Colin Baker - Dr Who;
Claudia Christian & Patricia Tallman - Babylon5;
Kristian Nairn - Hodor, Game of Thrones;
Caroline Munro - The Spy Who Loved Me, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad;
Brian Muir - sculptor and set builder. Brian is responsible for creating the original Darth Vader Costume and has also worked on over 60 films including Aliens, Indiana Jones, Star Wars and James Bond.
