Donald Trump is set in stone at Ballintoy
The world-famous Causeway Coast may have yet another tourist attraction, after The Donald’s profile was spotted at the top of the limnestone close to Ballintoy harbour.
I think the likeness with Mr Trump in this picture I snapped at the local beauty spot is astonishing. It wasn’t immediately visible at the time, but when I rewiewed some photos I shot there recently, I was struck by the similarities - the hairline, the pouting mouth and the chin.

Hide AdAs we know, Ballintoy has been popular with tourists for many years and most recently it is a place of pilgrimage for fans of the hit TV series Game of Thrones, after several scenes were filmed against the backdrop of the beautiful harbour, beach and islands.
Now there is another good reason for visitors to take a walk to the other side of the harbour. On the limestop outcrop between the harbour and the old quarry, if you can bear to look away from the magnificent view to Rathlin Island, you will see the the Trump-esque cliff and decide for yourself if Ballintoy has a claim to be Northern Ireland’s Mount Rushmore.
