Bark in the Park
Mayor of Antrim, Councillor Brian Graham said: “Antrim Borough Council is delighted to be working in partnership with The Dog’s Trust to bring Bark In The Park to Antrim’s Lough Shore Park. It promises to be a great event for all families especially those who bring their dogs along to take part in all the fun.
“There will be opportunities to get free vet health checks and free micro chipping and the Council’s Borough Wardens will also be on hand to offer helpful advice on caring for your pet on the day.”

Hide AdThe highlight of the day will be a fun dog show for competitive canines compered by u105’S Carolyn Stewart. Class registration takes place at 12 noon and the entry fee is just 50 pence per class. Judging will begin at 12.30pm and there will be medals and rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and a cup for Best in Show. There’s also a class to suit all dogs including ‘most handsome male’, ‘prettiest lady’, ‘cutest puppy’, ‘best rescue dog’, ‘best senior dog’ and ‘dogs in fancy dress’.
There is also a variety of doggy-themed children’s entertainment to look forward to including a dance workshop, arts and crafts, face painting, bouncy castles and balloon modelling. Don’t forget to get a photo of you and your dog in the photo booth.
Carolyn Stewart, from U105 said: “I am really looking forward to compering the Bark In The Park. It promises to be a great day out at Antrim Lough Shore Park and I can’t wait to meet lots of new furry friends.”
