Unique scheme to encourage hard work
They were the first school in Northern Ireland to use a specialised computer reward system called Pupil Reward Points - www.pupilrewardpoints.co.uk.
This customised rewards system records and recognises students’ achievements, good attendance, taking part in extra-curricular activities, healthy eating, etc. Students have a login where they can see their attendance, achievements and points.

The basic idea is that children earn points and can ‘spend’ these points on various treats that will be displayed on the website at certain values. In order to make this happen they have been supported by a number of local businesses. They are very grateful to those who have been kind enough to donate to their reward system in some way. The following businesses andpeople have supported Carrick: Tesco Lurgan, Funky Monkeys, Maloney’s Diner, McDonalds, Centrepoint Bowling, Kosy Bakery, Craigavon Leisure Centre, Dan ‘The Skipping Man’, Jumping Clay, Lisburn, Mr Fugard, Scholastic Books, Carrick PS Extended Schools, Mr Andrew Davis and William Street Vetenary Clinic. If anyone else would like to support this exciting initiative, either by donating money or prizes, please contact [email protected] or they can see more information at www.carrickprimary.co.uk
