Prayer of Praise wall hanging is launched
The Group, who are based in the Parish Centre, secured PHA funding for a project that would encourage communities to be pro-active in promoting positive mental health and emotional well-being.
The wall hanging, now on permanent display in the Centre, was launched on April 4 by North Antrim Community Network Rural Development Officer Sandy Wilson.

Using various needlecraft techniques, the wall hanging was designed to outline members’ interpretation of the Prayer. A number of relevant symbols from All Saints Church were also included.
The tutor for the project, which commenced in October 2015, was Cheryl Sinclair whose expertise and enthusiasm encouraged the group members to tap into existing skills, embrace new skills and produce an outstanding and unique piece of needlecraft which has excelled all expectations, a spokesperson said.
To complete the project an explanatory booklet was produced to accompany the wall hanging; it contains the words of the Canticle of the Creatures alongside relevant imagery from the wall hanging.
