Fabulous festive line up this week at Riverside Theatre
On Thursday night, December 5, it’s an evening designed for lovers of poetry, prose and music entitled Chasing the Cheerless Gloom: An Antidote to Winter.
It’s designed and directed by Emeritus Professor Tony Bareham, of the University of Ulster.

Hide AdAnd on Saturday night, December 7, Maggie Ferris and Friends will be on stage. The Riverside is delighted to welcome back the local
songstress after last year’s successful variety show. The audience will be entertained to an eclectic mix of culture, music, dance and
entertainment. Comperes for the evening are the well known and multi – talented Ballymoney duo Neil and Paul McMaster.
Maggie’s special guests, include the Innova Irish Dance Company, which presents traditional Irish dance with a twist, singer/songwriter from the City of Culture Shane McCaul, Maggie’s sister Ann, singing with her son and daughter Margaret and Thomas McCay, Rory Sheehan with his superb Baritone voice, renowned singer and pianist Edwin Brown, the angelic voice of Hannah Baxter, dancer Gerald McQuilken, the Drum Corps of Coleraine Fife and Drum band which will be joined by the haunting sounds of the bagpipes, St Patricks Primary School choir Portrush, Narrator, James McCullough and Lesley Magee, musical director of Cantare Choir. Complimentary Mulled wine, mince pies and nibbles will be served after the show.
