Derek Ryan ready for Bannville return
Few singers have experienced the meteoric rise to fame that the popular Derek has enjoyed, but he is certainly not prepared to rest on his considerable laurels.
“We will have a new CD coming out shortly and we will be undertaking some more ambitious projects this year,” he explained.

On his previous visits to the Bannville Hotel, he has proved a big hit drawing hundreds of dancers from over a wide area.
“I particularly like going to the Bannville because there is a tremendous atmosphere there and the people are very warm and friendly,” said Derek.
The phenomenal success of his latest single ‘Pick a Bale of Cotton’ has propelled Derek further into the spotlight and having toured Australia, the continent, England and Scotland last year, he is now preparing to log up even more miles in the months ahead.

He will be bringing his updated, all-action show to the Bannville at a time when he is being hailed as the best song-writer and performer to have emerged on the Irish entertainment scene.
And while he appreciates the plaudits, there is no danger of his feet leaving the ground.
“I am very grateful for the loyalty of our followers but I would never take anything for granted. This is a difficult business and you’re only as good as your last performance. Having said that, I enjoy what I do immensely and I’m looking forward to seeing many familiar faces at the Bannville,” added Derek.
Doors open at 9pm on Friday January 16 and admission is payable at the door (£13).
